Esmatullah Mohib is the Founder and CEO of Zawia Media. ZAWIA is an Internet-based boutique media house launched in January 2019. It is the pioneer of digital media in Afghanistan, offering an innovative alternative to conventional media for the young generation of media consumers in Afghanistan by recognizing the centrality of technology integrated into our daily lives.
Mohib completed his master degrees from England. He studied MPA in Public Administration and Management at University College London, and MA in International Communications and Development. He holds a BSc Honors in Multimedia Technology and Design with Professional Development from Brunel University London.
Esmatullah also served as Secretary to H.E. the President of Afghanistan Dr. Ashraf Ghani in 2016, where he managed his daily administrative tasks. In September 2014, he was awarded the Outstanding Management Award from H.E. President Ghani for leading and managing the e-campaign and social media team during his successful Afghan presidential campaign.
In April 2017, Mohib won the Frontrunner Leadership Award from Common Purpose UK, which is a leadership development organisation that specializes in cross-boundary leadership. He was also a member of the UCL Model United Nations Society and Afghan students Association UK.
